STAR WARS, ORIGINAL CAST MEMBER, PETER MAYHEW- CHEWBACCA- JOINS 2017 CAST of AMAZING LAS VEGAS COMIC CON!
With a towering height of 7’3”, Peter Mayhew is the British born actor best known for his portrayal of CHEWBACCA in the STAR WARS Saga. He starred in the original trilogy as the Wookie in New Hope, Emprire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. During this time frame, he appeared in the camp classic Star Wars Holiday Special, and The Muppet Movie.
In 1999 Peter moved to the United States, got married, and became a US Citizen. He was asked by George Lucas to reprise his role as Chewbacca for Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith. Then in 2011, when Lucasfilm was producing the Clone Wars TV series, Mayhew was brought to Skywalker ranch to voice Chewie for the animated series.
And more recently, as Peter Mayhew he had a double knee replacement and after his rehabilitation was complete, he was cast to reprise his role as Chewbacca for Star Wars Episode VII : The Force Awakens.
Peter Mayhew will be appearing at the AMAZING LAS VEGAS COMIC CON on SATURDAY June 24, and SUNDAY June 25 throughout the day. Autographs start at $50 with Selfie Combo at the table at $80. Professional Photo Ops are also available at $60. All of the above can be purchased at the event, from his singing table.
